Soon after the Patriots seized power, it became clear that they, too, would require military hardware. After reaching contracts with Jonnu Smith and Nelson Agholor, they have added Kendrick Bourne to their team.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport says that New England and Bourne have settled on a three-year, $22.5 million contract.
The wide receiver, who attended Eastern Washington University, was signed by the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2017.
Bourne had his best season ever in 2020, when he caught 49 passes for 667 yards and scored two touchdowns. He played in five of the club’s contests in his first season.
Bourne has played in 58 games and has 137 receptions, 1,769 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns.
