Vivendi Games (now Activision Blizzard) took over ownership of the first six Leisure Suit Larry games, Magna Cum Laude, and Love for Sail Mobile; Codemasters published Box Office Bust and Reloaded. Currently, Assemble Entertainment distributes the games on a consistent basis.
The original concept for the main “Larry” game came from Sierra’s previous Softporn Adventure, a book experience designed by Chuck Benton in 1981. The “Larry” series, released by Sierra in the 1980s, was one of the most popular game arrangements of the era. These are some of Sierra’s most racy games, and they are included in this pack.
The protagonist, Larry Laffer, spends most of the games trying to get sexual favours from various young women. The games share a common thread in which Larry goes on adventures in opulent and sophisticated settings, such as hotels, cruise ships, beaches, resorts, and clubs. Larry Laffer’s vocals were provided by Jan Rabson.
