Gameplay:

60 hours of gameplay are available in the PC version of Neverwinter Nights. A plague threatens Neverwinter, and only the PC can stop it, while also building a strong faction and fending off an invasion from the Sword Coast of Fern in the D&D setting. In order for the story’s midsection to be completed, the player must brave the open area surrounding Neverwinter and travel north to the village of LUSKAN. You can take a variety of detours on the way.

Players begin by creating a character in the same way as in the tabletop version of D&D. Players have the option of using pre-made characters or creating their own from scratch. A series of boards shown in the game determines the character’s gender, race, class, arrangement, limit scores (such as strength and mind), special forces referred to as abilities and accomplishments, in-game appearance, and name. After going through this cycle, players are able to select classes like officer or minister and then customize their skill set and achievements to fit their specific role in the game.
